Cake "General" - the most delicious recipe

Cooking a general's cake is not difficult. The dessert recipe is based on simple technological operations, so any culinary specialist will cope with its creation.

On the network you can find cake recipes with different options for making cream:

  • based on boiled condensed milk;
  • from whipped cream;
  • custard;
  • on sour cream.

But most housewives agree that the most delicious is the combination of cakes with cream based on condensed milk or cream. And, of course, the cakes themselves must be cooked with nuts, poppy seeds and dried fruits.

To prepare the test you will need the components:

  • butter - 200 g;
  • eggs - 4 pcs.;
  • kefir - 200 ml;
  • sugar - 1.5 cups;
  • dried fruits - 250 g;
  • nuts 250 g;
  • poppy - 100 g.

Procedure:

  1. Grind the eggs with sugar.
  2. Butter is introduced into the dough, mixed.
  3. Add kefir.
  4. After stirring, flour with baking powder is added.
  5. Well-kneaded dough is combined with dried fruits.
  6. Cakes are baked in a round shape, oiled with butter. The baking time of each cake is 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
  7. The cooled cakes are coated with boiled condensed milk or other cream, chosen according to your own desire.

General’s cake should be distinguished not only by excellent taste, but also by its beautiful presentation. Its top layer can be decorated with poppy seeds, nuts, dried fruits, sprinkled with cocoa powder or grated chocolate.

A cake called "General" should consist of 3 biscuit cakes, in each of which different flavoring agents are added. Commonly used are loose poppy seeds, walnuts or hazelnuts, raisins, dried apricots or prunes.

For shortcakes:

  • butter - 200 g;
  • sugar - 2 glasses;
  • flour - 2 glasses;
  • eggs - 5 pcs.;
  • kefir - 250 ml;
  • poppy - 100 g;
  • prunes, raisins or dried apricots - 250 g;
  • nuts - 250 g.

For cream:

  • butter - 200 g;
  • boiled condensed milk - 2 cans.

Stages of cooking cakes:

  1. The eggs are combined with sugar and ground.
  2. Softened butter is added.
  3. After thorough mixing, kefir is introduced.
  4. Pour baking powder into the flour, mix.
  5. Flour is introduced into the dough and knead until smooth.
  6. The dough is divided into 3 parts. Poppy is added to one of them, chopped nuts to the other, and raisins to the third.
  7. Each of the three parts of the dough is baked separately in a round shape, smeared with oil and sprinkled with flour. The baking time of cakes at a temperature of 180 degrees is 15-20 minutes each.
  8. To prepare the cream, you must mix the declared components in the recipe.
  9. Smear the cake with cream, covering not only the cakes, but also the sides of the cake.

Cake with poppy seeds, raisins and nuts is very tasty. Serve it on the table immediately after cooking or an hour or two after it is infused in the refrigerator.

With custard

Using the cakes given in the main recipe as the basis, you can experiment with the options of the layer. Many connoisseurs of sweet pastries note the special taste of the cake cooked with custard.

For the cream you will need:

  • milk 2.5% fat - 1 l;
  • eggs - 4 pcs.;
  • oil - 300 g;
  • flour - 4 tbsp. l .;
  • sugar - 400 g.

Procedure:

  1. Grind the eggs with sugar, add flour and knead until smooth.
  2. Gradually, milk is introduced into the mixture, thoroughly stirred.
  3. Saucepan with the mixture put on a slow fire.
  4. With constant stirring, the cream is kept on the stove until the mass thickens and air bubbles begin to appear on its surface (as happens with boiling water).
  5. Boil the cream is not necessary. The appearance of the first bubbles is a signal that the pan should be removed from the heat.
  6. The cream is cooled to room temperature, softened butter is introduced into it, mixed.
  7. Cakes are covered with cream, the cake is decorated with dried fruits and nuts.

Important! When mixing the ingredients, milk must be added in small portions to the egg-sugar mixture. If you add all the milk at once, the mass will mix unevenly and when brewing in the cream, lumps may appear.

"General" cake from Emma's grandmother

An interesting dessert is obtained by cooking it according to the recipe "from Emma's grandmother." It turns out to be especially tender due to the use of cream in the cream. Sour cream used to make cakes makes the texture of the cake softer and more airy.

For the test, prepare the following composition:

  • eggs - 4 pcs.;
  • flour - 2 glasses;
  • sugar - 1.5 cups;
  • soda - 1 tsp;
  • butter - 200 g;
  • nuts - 1 cup;
  • raisins - 1 glass.

In cream:

  • powdered sugar - 1 cup;
  • cream (fat content 33%) - 0.5 l.

Procedure:

  1. Eggs are mixed with sugar, butter is added, kneaded.

  6. For cream, cream is mixed with icing sugar and whipped until thickened.
  7. Cakes are smeared with cream, the cake is decorated with raisins and nuts and served.

Cake "from Emma's grandmother" should not be left for a long time at room temperature. In this case, the cream may settle and the dessert will quickly lose its presentable appearance.

Cooking in a slow cooker

Cakes for general's cake can be prepared both in the oven and in the slow cooker.To make the culinary baking successful, it is better to use the recipe for the dough prepared on kefir.

You will need:

  • kefir - 250 ml;
  • sugar - 2 glasses;
  • flour - 2 glasses;
  • butter - 200 g;
  • soda - 1 tsp;
  • dried fruits, nuts - 1 glass each.

Procedure:

  1. The eggs are mixed with sugar, carefully rubbed.
  2. Kefir is introduced into the egg mixture.
  3. Add oil, knead until smooth.
  4. Pour baking powder into the flour, after mixing, both ingredients are introduced into the dough.
  5. Dried fruits and nuts are added.
  6. Well-mixed mass is divided into 3 parts.
  7. Each of them is baked in a multicooker bowl separately.
  8. Ready cakes are greased with whipped cream or boiled condensed milk.

It is best to bake a cake in three steps, adding different flavoring additives to each serving. It is not necessary to lubricate the multicooker bowl with oil before laying the dough. Cakes are baked for 30 minutes in the "Baking" mode.

Note! Baking is the most successful in multicookers with a capacity of 800 watts or more. In low-power devices, the dough is baked worse. In multi-cookers without 3-D heating, the top of the cakes remains light. Readiness is determined by piercing the cake with a wooden skewer (it must remain dry).
